A move-out clean is easier when the cleaning plan follows the move schedule. Before starting, confirm when belongings will be removed, when keys must be returned and whether the building requires an elevator booking or loading access.
Before cleaning begins
- Remove personal belongings, boxes and loose waste.
- Confirm elevator, parking and concierge access.
- Separate damage or permanent staining from removable soil.
- Photograph the empty rooms for your own records.
Kitchen checklist
- Wipe counters, backsplash and reachable cabinet exteriors.
- Clean sink fixtures and remove ordinary food residue.
- Empty and wipe accessible drawers or cupboards included in the scope.
- Select refrigerator or oven interiors as extras when required.
- Vacuum and clean the floor using a method suitable for its finish.
Bathrooms and living areas
Clean mirrors, fixtures, accessible tile, counters and the exterior of storage. Dust reachable ledges and baseboards, vacuum carpet edges, and mop suitable hard floors. Check closets, balcony doors, window sills and any areas that were hidden by furniture.
Condo-specific details
Toronto condo buildings may limit service-elevator hours, parking and key access. Add these restrictions to the order notes. If the unit is only partly empty, identify the furniture that will remain so the scope is realistic.
